Okay, I'm looking through Issue Three and I get to the bit where the spooky ghost queens have scared Hatter's horsie and caused him to fall into a puddle. Then I see Redd's takeover in comic book form and I start to think...
Maybe Looking Glass Wars should have been released like this?
I mean, I actually think some scenes in LGW would've worked better in comic book format, and since it's a very 'visual' novel, with an array of settings like the Chessboard Desert, Wondertropolis and Victorian London, artwork would've benefitted the story greatly, although some of Templesmith's renditons of the characters look scruffy and unfinished. I also don't like General Doppleganger's design; looks too 'French' (when I first read the book, I kept imagining Doppleganger as Tenniel's illustration of the Tweedle brothers).
