In the book didn't it say there were 8 caterpillars? Well they only listed 6 of the colors. So what are the other 2??? I am so confused  lol rather baffled about which ones they are.

Maybe the other two are black and white.
Dark and light.

Or maybe I'm wrong...

Is it possible the other two might have died in the interim? They are (supposedly) quite old.

:o to tell u the truth...i didnt really notice about where the ohter two caterpillers were...hey, were u reading the UK or the US version? do u think theres a diff.?
anyway, i think they were off somewhere, they couldnt have been dead. caterpillers know whats coming to them so maybe they avoided thier deaths. who knows...

Or...they were there..... just not visible.

Perhaps too much time with the hookah that they were all smoking from and they were under the mushroom table contemplating the universe, y'know? While I don't want to infer too much, it's Wonderland and who knows what kind of 'magical herbs' were available....stuff that in the real world would make LSD over-the-counter strength in comparison...

It might've been bong. Bong is evil. It sent Tommy to jail.

I assume this would be further investigated. Hmm Eight though, are there? Off the top of my head Blue, Orange, Red, Green, Purple, Yellow, I think that is all that I remember. Not entirely sure.

I noticed this too!

(especially when I'm trying to do illustrations for illustration class on each of the chapters.. @.@;; )

I'm interested to see what colours the other two are, I'm sure it's relevant, especially with the next book coming out. I was thinking black and white as well, but I'm not sure if it would be so straightforward as this...what about silver, gold, pink, bronze, etc etc. O.o;;

Is it possible that Mr. Beddor just screwed up? I mean if Rowling did it multiple times, couldn't any other author? At least it's not as bad as some inconsistencies in Diane Duane's Young Wizard novels...

I didn't either...wasn't paying that close attention to the number of catipillers and the colors...will have to go back and read the books again...

In Seeing Redd during that horrible chapter when Blue comes to Alyss with a phrophecy about Redd and then Alyss lies :(to Dodge about it and then he gets angry:mad:...... (etc etc)

isn't the phrophecy of Redd or King Arch or SOMEONE tryin to pull a whisker off a clear or translucent or SOMETHING caterpillar?

If I'm wrong I have no Idea where I got that.;)

It was King Arch pulling whiskers off of a "Colorless" catapillar.

That was in Alyss' vision.. Page references are 319 and 287 in the second book.

Hope that helps. atleast for one of them, as for the other missing catapillar I don't know what color it would be.
