A few weeks ago I received my copy of Seeing Redd from the Science Fiction Book Club only to discover there was a major mistake at the printing house: although the dust jacket and cloth cover of the book claimed that it was Seeing Redd, the interior pages were from The Looking Glass Wars.
After contacting their customer service department, I was told there would be no charge for the defective copy of the book and another one would be mailed as soon as possible. Imagine my surprise when I received the replacement copy and it turned out to be defective as well!
I have contacted the Science Fiction Book Club and asked them to send me another copy of the book--this time where the cover matches the interior.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

We have spoken to Penguin regarding the problems with the Book of the Month Club edition of Seeing Redd (the Science-Fiction Book Club uses the same version as the Book of the Month Club). The Club is currently correcting the error, and its customers will receive the correct version at the Club's expense or be refunded.

Your specific issue of having received the same bad edition as a replacement copy appears to be an isolated incident, but they are checking to make sure that issue is not more widespread. I would suggest contacting the Club again.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this situation may have caused you and all our loyal fans. Trust me, it is just as frustrating for us as for you.

Sincerely,

Colonel Barlow
