i myself like

Alyss
Redd
The Cat
Hatter

I like the journey that both Alyss and Redd take in order to conquer the other and to accomplish their ideals. Alyss is more mature i think of the two though, but i like Redd for her childish vindictiveness and stubborn nature. The cat has my pity for his tragedy of dying, but he's cool. And Hatter... c'mon do i have to explain? He's Hatter!

Molly totally rules!!! She is Half Milliner Half Civillian and totally awesome!!! She is all that and can beat level Z on the training. Homburg Molly is only 13 and is Alyss' royal bodyguard. How much more awesome can you get???

Eh, I'm more of a Redd and Bibwit fan myself. Redd because she had a crappy childhood & is just following what she believes in, and Bibwit Harte because he's 1) albino 2) tall and 3) he's the smartest being I've ever read!

dammit...this is HARD!!!
u should really have broken down the protagonists and the antagonists, or the bad guys from th egood guys. the main character is not always the best character sometimes...so this is hard for me to choose at the moment...

for best bad guy, it would definately be the cat...of course...meow. lol his evil mercenary outfit is great.
then it would be hatter...for being a REAL warrior. i would say dodge as well but his anger and thoughts get the best of him at most times.

im sorry flitting_shadow, but molly DOES KICK ASS. =D
redd doesnt appeal to me now as she did before because she just doesnt seem evil enough. guess she lost that much...

but either way, this poll is incomplete...srry everyone.

My least favorite character is Molly. She seems to steal Hatter's uniqueness in the first book; it's as if there should only be one person like him. I also find Molly slightly obnoxious and predictable--no offense to Molly fans! ;-)

Last night I couldn't sleep and so I was thinking over my list of favorite characters. I decided that, as of right now (things may change when Book 3 comes out!) That my #5 favorite is Weaver. Dodge falls into slot #6.

7. Molly (down here because while she is an undeniably awesome fighter [don't stone me] she's just not one of my faves. I really hope her 'prove herself by doing anything, even if it's incredibly stupid' phase ends in the next book. I think she learned her lesson in Seeing Redd.)
8. General Doppel Ganger
9. Bibwit
10. Arch
11. EVERY OTHER CHARACTER

Honestly, it was just her general attitude. I can't pin point it. It's like one of those nice people in real life that just rub you the wrong way and you can't really tell why.

Cats are my favorite animals so I didn't know what I would think about having a cat as a villian when I first started reading LGW, but I definitely like him, LOL! The Cat simply is the perfect example of anything that is evil in felines. I can imagine that when he hisses, wowie zowie! It must be pretty scary!

And I still like Weaver, BTW. Sorry, Grdonathan. Although I do understand what it's like to just hate a character for no reason in particular. But like I said earlier, I think I like pretty much everyone in LGW except jack of Diamonds.

Ahem... you know, uh, those parts in LGW when you want to just stand up and scream for victory? Such as, when Alyss comes out of the LG Maze triumphantly; or when Hatter emerges from Talon's Point and saves those desperate card soldiers who are cornered in Seeing Redd? Those moments when you just want to let out a loud howl because you just so agree with the coolness of it all?

Well... I had another moment like that: when Arch killed Jack with the mushroom. I was like, YAAAAY! Because I hated him, and his stinkin' big butt. LOL! If one can change the Wizard of Oz tune for a moment, you could have compared my mind at that moment to this little tune:

Ding dong, the dork is dead, the dork is dead, the dork is dead. Ding, dong, the fat 'ol dork is dead!!!!!

I really think the thing that made me hate him was how he was always hitting on Alyss (in his own way, of course). But he was a very... interesting character, I will admit that. And it will just be plain old different to not have Jack in the next book. I will not have anyone to go "Eeeeiiiiiiiiiwwww!" at! LOL!

I was just thumbing through Seeing Redd (as I do multiple times each day) and I looked over the part where Hatter and Weaver first meet in King Arch's tent. And when Hatter tries to warn Weaver that Arch is not the buddy-boy that he seems to be to her, she gets mad and basically tells Hatter that he's being mean and stupid.

Well, I found myself thinking, "Boy, I like Weaver, but in this part... man! She's just being a regular pill!"

So I thought I'd share that with you. :D

Exactly...and it never got better after that. She had a stubborn refusal to believe Hatter until he finally shoved her nose in it like a scolded dog.

That was pretty fun. What's everyone else's lists?

My list (although I think I posted it somewhere else here, too, but whatever I'll do it again). This is for both books:

1) HOMBURG MOLLY! (Did I honestly even need to say it? LOL! She is just TOO AWESOME, the definition of coolness/girl power! WOOOOOOO!)

2) Hatter Madigan (Molly's dad and a super-cool-awesome-kick-butt fighter. There is nothing further to explain.)

3) Alyss (She's the heroine, so of course I like her.)

4) Redd (I just like her whole character; everything about her. She's such a fun read.)

5) The Cat (Cats are my favorite animals and this one has a lot of character. Awesome!)

6) Weaver (She's Molly's mom and she shoots a gun. Need I say more? *Sorry, GD... LOL!)

7) Bibwit (Even though I can't understand what the heck he's talking about half the time, I find him a very interesting character.)

8) Queen Genevive (I really liked what little we saw of her at the beginning of LGW.)

9) Dodge (Even though he's the leading man, he's down here at #9 because his "consumed with rage" thing irritates me, to tell the truth, even though I totally understand why the poor dude feels the way he does...)

10) General DG (I love how he can split himself in two and all that and he's a pretty neat general, but I just don't think his character comes across as very strong.)

So that's my top 10 list... for now. I'll probably change it after awhile because I always do. :D

Wow, that's interesting. I really liked the way they were kinda smart alecky and especially when Redd was talking to them and the one starts saying "Blah blah blah blah blah." LOL that was HILARIOUS! But other than that I didn't really find them too interesting.

General: I just don't really like the Cat, but maybe that's because of the Chesire cat which I used to be afraid of... So why do you like the Cat?

I've always liked the henchmen in books in movies though I don't really know why. I guess the Cat is just one of those villains who are supporting the main villain, but in some ways overshadows him/her.

I voted for all of them but my most favorite character is Alyss.
1)Defenitly Alyss because I have always liked the warrior queen idea:o
2)And the funny thing is I don't really like Homburg Molly ( homburgmolly_fan please don't hurt me:))
3)But if Dodge wasn't so angry all the I'd like him alot more.
4)Hatter because he's totally awesome.
5)The cat because I liked the Chesire cat from the disney version.
6)Redd is just funny sometimes:mad::)
7)The Walrus butler because he's always so worried about Alyss all the time.

LOL no problem, I can manage to not lose my temper... sometimes. Hee hee J/K don't worry, I'm not going to hurt anyone. Not everyone is going to be a fan of the same character.

However, if someone insults Molly; says she just makes the book bad; etc, etc; THEN the blades would be drawn. :D

PS: Leave it to me to notice this: as of right now, Molly has pulled ahead of Alyss and Dodge in the poll, and is beaten only by Hatter. YAAAAAY! Go Molly! <---- Sorry if that was rather weird. :o

Last night I couldn't sleep and so I was thinking over my list of favorite characters. I decided that, as of right now (things may change when Book 3 comes out!) That my #5 favorite is Weaver. Dodge falls into slot #6.

Sorry, Dodge! Nothing personal, it's just that the Madigan family rocks the world! :D

Aw! you guys are cute!

But speaking of characters.. this may be random and not really on target with the thread, but My fiance and I are dressing like our favorite characters for our wedding.

She's going to be Hatter.. (I know.. Hatter's going to have boobs! didn't I say somewhere before that the only way he could be better was if he had boobs? o.o) and I'm going to be Weaver. ^_^ But I just thought that would be something that would be of interest.
