View Full Version : Who should play Homburg Molly?

MollyCole

All right so we had who should play redd and who should direct but what about molly now I know theres been some things about her age and maybe a little about what she looks like but I don't think theres anything on who should play her, or the best person you think should. (if there is already a thread like this I'm apologizing now so there is no hurt feelings) I personally have no idea who should play her and or who looks like her on what we got from the books description thats why I started this to get others peoples opinions. so feel free and state your opinion, I would love to know what people think!!!

Um, I think that most of the Molly enthusiasts on here think that they themselves should play our beloved Halver, so this might be a bit of a dead-end thread. But we could always debate which of us would be best for the role (a rather pointless pursuit, seeing as we can neither see nor hear each other's acting abilities).

So yeah, those are my thoughts. I'm sure that some people have various celebrities in mind for the part, but whatever.

MollyCole

ok yeah but lets get realistic here, not everybody can be molly so I started this thread as to what people think who should play molly as in meaning like a real actress, not saying that some on here are not real actress but I mean like a common one that everybody's knows more like what people think of what she looks like thats what I meant sorry for the misunderstanding!!!

Wow, this is tough.

Of course you're right, like every other HM fan out there I would rather play Molly myself, but we can't have everything now, can we? LOL

She'd have to be young, but not too young. As far as young actresses go, I know of Anna Popplewell who played Susan in Narnia; Georgie Henly who played Lucy in Narnia; and the girl who played in Bridge to Terabithia and Because of Winn Dixie, I think her name is like Anna Sophia Robb or something like that. But personally I can't really see any of them as Molly. None of them are tough enough, LOL.

MollyCole

lol there not tough enough well this is true!!! but who knows and it is hard thats why I asked for others peoples opinion's.

In my earlier post I know I mentioned AnnaSophia Robb and said that I didn't think she was tough enough to do Molly, but right now my family has on the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" movie that came out a couple of years ago, and I saw her in there as Violet Beauregarde. Now this character is totally snobbish and not much like Molly at all except for the fact that she's tough. But when I saw her doing karate kicks with her short hair flipping around, I couldn't help but think of Molly. Maybe AnnaSophia Robb would be able to pull Molly off after all? As we've seen in her other movies, she can show kindness really well in addition to pulling off "tough". And she's 14, so that's the perfect age.

She's the only one I can actually envision in the roll, at least as of right now.

Yeah. That is hard. And, you're right. All the Molly enthusiastis would want to play her (Like Me!) But, to choose, I say Georgie Henley would be the closest best. :)

PS:

Naw, I think Georgie Henley is way too cute to do Molly. After Narnia, no one would be able to take her seriously in the role of a karate Halfer who's part of the ultimate Wonderland fighting force. It just does not seem to fit, at least not in my mind. But you never know...

But while this "discussion" is still going on, shall we compare...?

Just to be fair, I didn't look for pics where either one of them looked particularly "tough".

I have been acting since I was eight years old. So that has definitely been awhile. 'Cause I am older than 15, just to let ya know. Sorry, I just have this thing about not wanting to reveal any of my personal info including age online. So I would be a bit old for Molly but I think I could pull it off, because Molly is mature for her age. And I am immature for mine; LOL! So we would meet somewhere in the middle. AND I also just want to be Molly.

No, no...I do apologize.

To take it back to the conversation and...it may have been said already...but I really don't think there are any established young actresses out there right now that I can really see doing justice to the part. It's going to have to be a fresh face. I really hope so at least.

HA HA HA oh my gosh, I was JUST THINKING like yesterday "I wonder if maybe we should make a seperate thread for LGW meets Batman"!

Back to the original subject... quite a few of us seem to like AnnaSophia Robb as a possible Molly, and we're also willing to beat each other with our homburgs/millinery backpacks/millinery bracelets in order to get the part if they decide to use an unknown for Molly.

Any other suggestions?

And now, on a COMPLETELY different subject...

I think we should all try to express what we think Homburg Molly looks like. If you're really good at describing with words, let's hear your thoughts. If you're talented with a pencil and good at translating your thoughts into pictures, then go for it! And if anyone finds any pictures (photos, sketches, illustrations, whatever) that they think in any way describe Molly, then please post them! It could be an "Oh, I think that this is totally the hairdo that Molly would have," or "I think she should look really athletic, like this:" or anything in between.

So, let's see what you've got!

YAAAAAY THIS IS GONNA BE SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

I picture Molly as an average height for a girl her age; you know, five-foot-whatever. She's got a pretty nice figure but she nearly always hides it under her long, black, leather millinery coat. She's slim but is not weak; she's stronger than any of the other girls her age.

Her hair is a dark "dirty" blonde and comes to about an inch beneath her ear lobes. It is very straight. You can mostly only see the bottom of it because she's always got her large homburg hat on. Of course, there's one other very important feature about her face/neck that no one's gonna miss when they see her: the blueish vein in the shape of an "H" that extends downwards from the base of her left ear. You all know what that is so I don't even need to bother explaining it.

I think her eyes would be a sort of green. Not, like, emerald green, but a more... murky kind of color. Like a swamp green, almost. (Sorry I know that's a really weird comparison but it's all I can think of at the moment.) They are very piercing and are just like Weaver's. (Hatter noted at the end of Seeing Redd how much her eyes resembled Weaver's)

Molly is very pretty when she smiles but she doesn't do it alot when she's around people she doesn't know because she wants them to take her seriously. To make a reference to Seeing Redd (again! :)) she's ususally got her jaw clenched up in a "defiant" look. She's kind of got this, "I could care less what you think about me" attitude. That is what makes me believe that, unlike some of the other people on this forum have thought, she's not ashamed of being a girl. She does not try to "hide" her feminity or try to be masculine. She knows she's a girl and she's cool with that even though she's doing guys' work; although if you have a problem with it you just might be facing a blade. Or two. Or more. She ain't known as "Homburg Molly" for nothin'. Quake with fear, mortal fools! The mistress of the blades is here!!!!!!!!

I don't think Molly is above having fun but she takes her work as a Milliner very seriously; you won't ever see her goofing off on the job. She's also very competetive, willing to take on Level Z in the hatbox just because people think she's not good enough.

Okay, so, that was a bit lengthy, I know  :o but hey, this is my fav. character after all and I have gone to great lengths to imagine what she would look like.

Not to say that I'm done. I'll probably think of something else and come on here to add it later, but for right now, I'm going to bed.

Hey guys sorry that I haven't been posting its just I rarely had any time until now, so I would like to say thank you to whom ever has helped this thread stay alive and thank you AlyssH for stating on what molly looks like cuz thats a big thing to consider I mean theres no pics sooooo ideas, ideas, IDEAS (i really wish I could draw then I could show rather than explain)!!!

well this is how I see molly, on the smaller side but not to small average height for her age, um her hair very short no longer than her face, black, or dirty brown, her homburg of course, covering up her bangs, her eye color um nothing to bright more brown than anything, but fierce, that makes anyone who steps in her path tremble, walks like a man cuz of her masculine body, but can be as sweet as the most girlie girl, sometimes she can be immature, but takes stuff seriously when its needed, her skin, tan, but not to tan (if that makes any sense) um her speech not the best (meaning she can talk using the right words but cant pronounce them correctly). Shes Molly, (as the song ARE YOU READY? by creed playing in the back round) walking with her blades at the ready this 13 year old may look like a mere child but don't assume because before you know it you could be on the ground as she stands over you at the ready, so get out of her way cuz this girl is todays hero for all the girls out there!!!! Shes Molly don't let her childish looks assume that she cant fight cuz if there is one thing she can do IS FIGHT!!!

I definitely agree with MollyCole that I picture Molly's hair being on the darker side--probably dark brown, maybe a little reddish. I don't know about her eyes. I don't think they'd have to be piercing, necessarily, but she can definitely fix you with a glare! And I agree that she's slender, but certainly very muscular, so she doesn't have, like, stick-thin thighs or anything. That would be stupid.

I'm not sure about the whole proud-to-be-a-girl thing. I think that she is somewhere in between--she doesn't flaunt it, but she doesn't really try to hide it. My feeling is that she just tries to make it not an issue, so wears pretty gender-neutral clothes.

I just hope that whoever they end up casting in the film looks like all these descriptions indicate. The one thing that I think would be intolerable would be if the actress had long hair. *shudders* Gaugh. Molly is totally a short hair person.

Agreed! If the girl doesn't have short hair...CUT IT! Molly has to have some muscle to her, look at what her job entails! She's obviously not going to be big and burly, but she's not going to be a delicate little flower either. They need to cast someone who doesn't look like she'll break easily.

I would gladly cut my hair for a part like that! I think that if the actress was reluctant to chop off her locks for the role, then she would obviously not be invested enough in the character, and shouldn't get the part. That should be something they ask at auditions: "Would you be willing to cut your hair really short?"

wait what Im a little confused, (or just plain stupid) but did you say you found a pic, and or a web site that has a pic please send a link!!! if you already did and or tell us sorry its been a long day, can you please re-tell or post a link?

Go to the "Fans & Freebies" link at the top of the page along with "LGW Books," "Imagination Gallery," "Media," etc. Then when you get there click on the link on the right of the page that says "eCards." There's a picture on the upper-right-hand side of the group of pictures that comes up. If you click on it you can see an enlarged version. In all its glory. Not.

And I'm sorry I wasn't clearer the first time--I was a bit worked up and shell-shocked.

I saw the pic of Molly in the ecards section.

Gag me. Someone, please do me the favor of gagging me now.

Okay, so I pictured Molly's hair as not necessarily being a boy's style cut, but GIVE ME A BREAK! That was WAAAAAY too long to be her hairstlye.

The coat, sword, and Homburg looked pathetic. She didn't look like a Milliner at all... she looked like a wannabe.

Besides, the thing that freaked me out the most is the overall look of her age... 13? PAH! The gal -should I say, woman- in that pic is at least 20-30!!!!!

I'm dying. I can't stand it. That picture was NOT Homburg Molly! I am actually offended!!!!!!!!!!!!

... ... ... ... ...

Okay, I'm taking a deep breath now and trying to calm myself. I think I might live after all.

walks like a man cuz of her masculine body,

I'm sorry, but I don't see that at all. That's just gross. Molly is not a female Arnold Scwarzenegger.

I'm not sure about the whole proud-to-be-a-girl thing. I think that she is somewhere in between--she doesn't flaunt it, but she doesn't really try to hide it. My feeling is that she just tries to make it not an issue, so wears pretty gender-neutral clothes.

I'm not saying that Molly is flaunting the fact that she's a girl. What I'm trying to say is that she doesn't go around thinking "I wish I were a boy" and "Maybe if I wear manly cothes and talk and walk like a guy, everyone will be fooled and think I really am a guy."

Seriously, if she wanted to "be" a boy, would she still be calling herself Molly? She'd most likely have introduced herself as "Mol" or something wacky like that.

Here's an example: if someone were to come up to Molly and say "Hey, it's really too bad that you're not a boy" would Molly:

a) Nod in a gruff, manly sort of way as she replies, "I know, I hate being a girl. Being a boy is the only way to go."

b) Whip out a blade, hold it under the person's nose as she grabs their jacket and looks them in the eye, saying, "What, you got a problem with the fact that I'm a girl? You think boys make better Milliners? Wanna dispute it?"

I'm going with B.

Molly is the way she is and she's cool with it.

I agree, Molly isn't ashamed of being a girl at all I'd think. She knows that as a halfer and a girl to boot, she's got more to prove, but she's MORE than up to the task.

Yes, that painting of her is a BIT disappointing and I know that's putting it lightly. She looks far to old, the hair is FAR to long, her face is devoid of ANY character, the trench looks FAR too intricate and bulky to actually fight in and yes, the homburg DOES look a little smooshed.

But the good points? I LOVE the coloring of the jacket. I'll take some of that into my drawing, I'll just be toning down the BUILD of the jacket. I do like the homburg, I'll just straighten it out a bit. I LOVE the way they've depicted the weaponry, that's staying when I draw it. I do love the shape of her face, I'm just going to make her look a bit younger and give her some emotion. I love the body type, but again, I'm going to make her look just a bit younger and shorter. They have her looking like she's nearly 6 foot tall the way they drew her. Like the color of the hair, I'm just going to make it shorter. Love the clothes she has on under the jacket, those will stay.

Lastly, I'm going to be adding the bluish H vein under her left ear. I think it's her most distinguishing marks and for it not to be visible in a painting of her...well I think it's just silly. So I'm adding it.

Yeah, that sounds much better than what they threw out there to us. That pic in the ecards section is not at all what I pictured Molly as. No way. And I was also disappointed that the Halfer "H" wasn't visible. I can't wait to see the finished Molly that you are going to do! But don't think I'm rushing you... go ahead and take your time.

Wowie zowie. This is the first time in my life something good has happened because I flipped out in glee. Hmmmm... well, actually, I don't see Molly with as blonde a hair color as AnnaSophia has, but for some reason I did picture her with a dirty blonde color hair. I think my reason is that it's half and half... half blonde and half brunette; it seems to fit because Molly is a halfer. I dunno, and I guess it doesn't honestly matter, but that is my opinion.

And besides, AnnaSophia could always dye her hair. So, for that matter, could whoever they end up using.

AnnaSophia has already proven she can handle other hair colors. In the American Girl movie, she had dark brown hair. :) So i don't think that she'd mind changing her hair color in some way for the role if she were to be up for it.

well....now i made it from the description from the book... so i could only do so much with very lil time and money...well the outfit i made was something you would see when you first meet Molly like not as a milliner yet (but almost) so any way i had a black shirt and i drew a white heart on the right sleeve, and not many people know who she is so i thought i could get away with putting alyssian on the front, and then i put homburg Molly on the back so people can get the name at least..then i wore black pants and converse...lol then of course a homburg the pic i have of a homburg surprisingly i have that same exact one (you never know what you can find going through your basement) and then i put the h behind my left ear, and my hair is short not as short as molly's but its close, my friend did say every time she reads the looking glass wars and is at the part with molly she says she always pitchers me cuz when she thinks of molly she thinks of me...she said i would make a good molly...i don't think so, but ya never no...then i wore black under armer, i don't have money for a black trench coat so i couldn't get the long coat that she wears o well...o and then i had a back pack filled with weapons...lol

I wanted to dress up as Molly, and I even got a couple things, like a pair of boots and a sort of worn leather vest, but I couldn't find a decent coat or a homburg, and I figured it would be stupid to try and go as Molly when I didn't even have her signature item! So it got bagged, but I hope to track down a homburg at some point, and then I can run around my house pretending to be our favorite milliner. :)

LOL yeah. But believe me, when I say "Get into character" for Molly, that doesn't really mean playing make believe. I am sure you probably already know this, I'm not saying you don't (I got in a forum fight once over something like that; I gave tips on acting and the dude thought I meant them for him personally and took offense; LOL!) but when I get into character it isn't really like I walk around the house in my coat and a hat saying "I am Molly; don't get in my way!" (LOL I only do that here on the forums  LOL!) it is actually a mental thing more than anything else. For example, I read a part in the books, say... when Molly and Hatter are together on Talon's Point after Weaver's death. I read it and try to not envision it as it is presented in the book... as a third person watching. I try to really get into Molly's mind at that particular point, try to think what she would be thinking; see what she would be seeing. Become her, in a word. I can do that with each and every part in the books that Molly is in; it's quite fun! Then, of course, I can move beyond the written word to just make up my own adventures, charcters, and settings in which Molly takes part. I mostly do that at night when I'm lying in bed and the ligths are all off and it's quiet... that's the best time for my imagination. But maybe it's just me. :)

But, yeah; let me state again: I'm not saying that you don't know what I'm talking about, I am sure you could give an even better explanation of what I just said. I am just clarifying that this is indeed what I mean when I say "getting into character". :D

But, yeah; let me state again: I'm not saying that you don't know what I'm talking about, I am sure you could give an even better explanation of what I just said. I am just clarifying that this is indeed what I mean when I say "getting into character". :D

Hey, this thread seemed to have died so I thought I'd bring it up again because we have a bunch of new members and I like to see thier input.

This is for what famous actresses do we think would be good for the part of Molly if FB and his movie crew chose to cast a famous in the role.

A couple of choices came up, among them Georgie Henley, Anna Popplewell, AnnaSophia Robb... etc etc.

My choice of all the "famouses" personally is still AnnaSophia. For those of you who might not know her, she played the main character in "Because of Winn-Dixie"; Violet Beuregarde in "Charlie and the Chocolate factory", Leslie in "Bridge to Terabithia" and more recently she played as Sara in "Race to Witch Mountain" (she was awesome in that movie!)

So what do you guys think? Do you have any other famous young actresses you think might possibly be able to fill the Millinery boots of our favorite Halfer?

That's true, she probably is a bit old for Molly by now. Myself, I never ever saw Anna Popplewell as Molly; she just seemed too... grown up, if you get me.

If I don't get the role of Molly () then I wouldn't want anyone other than AnnaSophia to have that part. (Yeah in case you haven't noticed I am kind of like a really really really big fan of AnnaSophia. LOL)

LOL I know but see this thread basically is for just finding random "famouses" who could be the right age, posting their pictures, and discussing whether or not they could maybe possibly work. It doesn't need to change your opinion. It sure won't change mine, because as far as the famouses go I would scream if it were anyone other than AnnaSophia.

Okay maybe some of you haven't seen her before so here is a interview with her before the premier of her movie Bridge to Terabithia. Now, she doesn't say anything particularly "Mollyish", but note her enthusiasm and excitement and the way she is serious about what she does but still looks like she has fun with it. That is exactly the attitude I always imagined for Molly!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSrjUrRZ-mo

So, are there any other actresses we know of in the age limit for Molly who we could discuss? Post 'em here! It's wicked fun to research all these people and decide whether they would be good Mollys or not. LOL! :D

I LOVEE AnnaSophia! I think she's a great actress, especially for such a young age! :)
I don't think there's really an age limit on any of the actors, as long as they look the part and we wouldn't be able to tell if they were any younger/older. Some actors are really great at that, you would never really know how old they are without the facts but there are definitely actors that are much older or younger and play their opposites.
That said, AnnaSophia can pass as the 13/14 year old range because she is and looks like that general age group. (wow what a messy sounding sentence LOL!)
Edit: LOL Forgot to actually add some actresses.
The one I can think of at the top of my head is probably Dakota Fanning but I couldn't see her as Molly. :\ And I know she's an amazing actress but I don't think her acting is right for this movie.

Oh yeah, Dakota Fanning is SOOOO amazing! But she never struck me as Molly. If she were younger, then I think she would make a perfect "Young Alyss". But as it is, she's too old to believably pass herself off as a 9 year old. :)

I really like Annasophia, but if it had to be a "famous" and it couldn't be her, I'd want them to cast Dakota Blue Richards--the girl who played Lyra in The Golden Compass. She has the perfect fiery, slightly aggressive determination that Molly possesses.

Oh. I guess I can't say for sure because I didn't see the movie, but a lot of reviews have complained of her as a whiney sort of sad excuse for a heroine. Again, I don't know for sure... I'm just repeating what I have read several times over.

I think that to me, Molly should be played by someone who is 13 or slightly older. And maybe a new actress. Robert Pattinson's role as Edward was his breakthrough role, and in my opinon, he flippin' rocked it! :D So it wouldn't be too bad if they picked a very good new actress, I'd be happy. :D

Anyone can look like Molly. Anyone can say awesome lines and show attitude and act kick-butt awesome. That's easy.

What I always thought was more important with Molly are her feelings... they so often seem to get overlooked. Yeah, Molly's attitude and spunk are very predominant in her charcter, but there are also some strong emotions there that have to be played correctly in order for someone to do the character justice. You've all probably realized this, as well, but I've come to see that deep down inside, Molly is hurt. She's tried and tried and tried and given everything she has to the Millinery, and people still treat her as if she's inferior to them all because she's a Halfer. Seriously if she did not have that H vein on her neck no one would have known the difference. But because she does have that, they act like she's kind of a nothing. Like a little bug compared to a magnificent eagle. Face it, that's how some of the Milliners act.

Can you even imagine what that would do to a person? It's like having a wound deep inside you that can't heal because those people keep ripping it open. The hurt is always there. Molly hides that, and I think that's actually the source of a lot of her "over the top" bragging and attitude: she's hiding her pain. That's why she always wants to show off, or, as Alyss puts it, "prove her worth". Because Alyss is the first person to ever treat her as a full Milliner she wants to keep Alyss thinking that way. I never saw Molly showing off just because she wants people to look at her. She wanted Alyss to look at her, and be impressed, and forget that Molly is a Halfer. That's Molly's motive for showing off.

So yeah, I definitely think that Molly needs someone who recognizes all these emotions and can tap into them. Molly is actually a very emotional character. We mostly don't see it because the forst thing we see with her is the show that she has on for everyone else: the "I don't care" thing. But deep down inside, she really does care and she does hurt. That's what gives Molly her attitude. That's what drives her. That pain is always there. Even when she doesn't show it, remarks hurt her. Say, for example, the time when she first meets Hatter in that bar place and he says Halfers can't be trusted, and she just comes back with a comment that drips with an "I could care less about what the heck you think, buddy" attitude. So we figure that Hatter's comment just bounced right off her and she didn't care. But in Seeing Red, we find out the truth about that little moment:

"But now her pride took another hit because... hadn't her failure, her lack of discipline, fulfilled Hatter's earliest suspicions of her?"

So she had remembered what he had said about her. It had hurt her. He had said that she was inadequate, and she had remembered that.

Maybe one of the reasons I understand Molly so well is that I am different from all my friends because I am going to devote my life to God rather than getting married. It's not that I'm not a normal girl, it's just that I've decided to make a sacrifice. Whenever people act as if I'm different from other girls, I do the same thing that Molly does: I put on the "I could care less" attitude. That's how I was able to see right away what Molly is really doing because I do the same exact thing! LOL! But deep down inside, weird looks and attitudes and girls not wanting to talk to you registers in spite of the attitude that you put on when they come around, and they hurt. They hurt like a slap. Thing is, you don't want them to see it, so you just continue on. The hurt almost drives you more. That's Molly. Pain is fuel to her attitude's fire. Whoever plays Molly is gonna have to know that and play it correctly.

Holy shamoley, I have rambled on like forEVER! LOL LOL! Well don't worry now I will stop. :)

No that was great, I understand what you're saying so well you took the words out of my mouth :D. Molly is a balance of pain and pride and I've always seen it. She definatly knows she's talanted (not in a bragging way) and she can't stand it when people judge her on things she can't help. She can't help she's a Halfer, but always improve her fighting styles, what's the one a lot of people (esp. Milliners) choose to judge her on? I think, as you said HM_F, Molly has the "I could care less" attitude not because she was naturally that way, but because of the prejudices against her. That's like how I am. When I was younger there were people who would bully me mercilessly and because of that, I'm sometimes quick to jump onto the defensive, and I have the kind of "I could care less what you think" attitude almost all the time.

Another facet of Molly's character that you have to look closley to see is all her emotions in general. She went thirteen years without ever knowing who her father was and had lost her mother (supposedly) at age 3. Now she could've become the kind of person that used to be Hatter's defintion of a Halfer (only interest in themselves and their own survival), but instead she was a true Alyssian, she was strongly loyal to Alyss and risked her own life helping them plenty of times. Also her lack of family and she seems to hide that kind of pain is interesting. She'd lived ten years as an orphan and only until after Arch kidnapped her and brought it up (the a**hole) did she think about it in full. I find that interesting because she seems like one who tries to stay postitive and strong :D.

Now on a sidenote, when it comes to Hatter's infamous comment about Molly's heratige. This was what I thought...

Somebody should've said to Hatter "Um, dude, your not in much of a postition to say that because you're the one who was doing certain things with a civilian. So it's a little hypocritcal, even you hadn't gotten Weaver pregnant, which you did, so ha ha.
Sorry I'm in a bit of a deadpan mood on that last part.

Still love what Molly said and I still think Hatter is the bomb!!!! :D

Anywho, Homburg Molly?
I think this girl would make a good one.

Or maybe she's too old. Haha.

Hello there Miss White. Welcome to the forums. Hope you'll enjoy it here. :)

As for your Molly choice. I first must ask: who is she?

Lawl. She's the girl that gave me The Looking Glass Wars as a present. xD
She goes to my school and does our school plays and musicals and stuff.
I would, but eh... I've no talent.
I should get her to sign up for this site.
She'd love it.
Just, uh... gotta get rid of the pist with her picture in it first.
She'd kill me.
Kill me dead.

Well go on! Haha. Everyone wants to play a role in LGW, I think. If I got to play any character, I'd wanna be one of Arch's wives. Man... He's just so sexy! >.<

I'm online at different times throughout the day, so you'll see me a lot. BTW welcome ret, I'm TeamEdwardGirltheAlyssian (a.k.a. TEGA). I hope you like it here on the forums. :D

When you're online, that little circle next to your name on all your posts turns green. Also, if you go to the bottom of the main forum page (The Looking Glass Wars Forums) there's a list of everyone who's online at that time.

Hope this helps!

Hiya Ret! Sorry I didn't get a chance to welcome you before, but I was on Pilgrimage in the Holy Land and that seriously cut down on my posting time. But now I have returned and reclaimed my Queendom! WOOOO! *Goes crazy*

Welcome to the forums. :)

Um, YOUR queendom? Since when was Molly a monarch? Not that the idea isn't appealing--just wondering if I've missed something important. :)

I don't think the appearance would be very hard to attain (a very good costume designer should do well) it's just the acting they need. I do remember seeing a "casting call" on the front page on this site or somewhere i forget. Do a video of yourself as Homburg Molly, or whatever they need to find the perfect person to play the role. i don't think you need to be able to move like Jet Li or Jackie chan since that's what stunt doubles are for (if they decide to use.) but that's how I would choose from users online. Just like how they put together that Youtube Symphony, they can do the exact same thing with this. but this is just my idea it's up to the people running the show who decide how it works.
