Hi Everybody,

Sorry I've been out of touch, but I've been hard at work finishing Book 3. Below you'll find some of the titles I've kicked around for the third novel. I've made my decision; nevertheless, I wanted to hear what you guys think:

The Looking Glass Wars: Rise of the EverQueen
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen for All
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Reigns
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Rebellion
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Unleashed
The Looking Glass Wars: Realm of the EverQueen

Thanks for your enthusiastic leap into the Pool of Tears!

All the best,
Frank Beddor

I think I'm stuck between 'Rise of the EverQueen' and 'EverQueen Reigns'. Though, I am sure we'll all be ecstatic with whatever choice you've made. :) Thanks for giving us a little teaser though! That's always appreciated!

My favorite is "Rise of the EverQueen," but "Realm of the EverQueen" is a close second.

When will we find out which one is the final decision?

'Realm of the EverQueen' was a good one too. The two I liked that that one would definitely be my top three choices. I think I just like leading up to the 'EverQueen' thing instead of starting off the title with it. I like the build up of it.

Rise of the EverQueen. Also Realm of the EverQueen. They're both quite nice, if I say so myself.

But...what is an 'EverQueen'??

Awe, man.... To be honest I was kind of hoping for the title they said on wikipedia. I mean, I know that wiki is full of bs on some things, but "The Law of Wonderland" would have been an awesome title for book three. And honestly, anything with the word "EverQueen" kind of ruins everything for me. Completely..... I loved the books and no matter what the 3rd title is, I'm going to read it, but come on. Seriously though?

Really? I love the idea of having "EverQueen" in the title. "The Law of Wonderland" would have also been cool, but I think that "EverQueen" is more appropriate. Cause, really, while this series is alot about Wonderland, it's more about the story of the two powerful Queens fighting for power... Redd and Alyss. So I like that the climax title draws attention to that.

I have to agree with you here. I like the "Everqueen" line of thinking. It wraps everything in a neat little bow whereas, to me at least, "The Law of Wonderland" kind of seems pulled out of no where.

I'm incredibly new to this site, this being my first post... but, I have only just finished the second book, and am now beginning Hatter. My best and highest compliments to the author, Mr. Beddor. Its been SO long since I've been able to lose myself completely in a new world. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

As to the new book, whatever title you choose, of course, will be the right one, you knowing Wonderland better than any of us. However, I'm partial to
Everqueen Unleashed
Only because it leaves the question of WHO the everqueen could be open. Either Redd, unleashing her tyranny and hatred upon Wonderland, or Alyss unleashing her white imagination to its fullest potential, thus becoming the "everqueen."
Just my humble thoughts! :p

k, I know the third book's probably already well into publishing to change the title, but I personally think that the title should just be "EverQueen."

All the other titles, in my opinion sounds too overdone. I'll admit the best title of this series was "Seeing Redd."

But if I had to pick one from the list, I'd choose "EverQueen Reigns." It's the only one that seemed to fit nicely with the other two book titles.

No offense to Mr. Beddor, but after I was recommended the Looking Glass Wars by a friend, I was already "iffy" about reading it because of the title. And this could be the case for this book as well. But of course, I know better than to judge a story by the title, so did read it and am now in love with the series. =)

So "EverQueen" anyone?

Really? See, I was drawn in by the whole "Looking Glass Wars" thing. To me, it just sounded so cool, that I really liked that title and it kinda "jumped out" at me in the store, would you say.

And because he has such elaborate titles for the first two books, I see the third book having a title that's more than one word. But, I mean, with something like the LGW series, he could call the third book "The Bad Queen and the Good Queen Socking Each Other" and I would still read it. LOL!

That's interesting. I guess it's different for everyone, right? Because I thought that "Looking Glass Wars" sounded too "Star Wars-y," it even had a resemblance to the droids there too on the cover. haha. That was my first impression.

And of course I would read the third book, whatever it'll be called. I was just trying to comment from the perspective of people who have not read it yet. So LGW would get more readers.

I do like your title though. LOL.

In the bookstore I saw Seeing Redd first and I thought it looked awesome but then I found out it was the second book in a trilogy. Then I just bought LGW straight away. I didn't think The Looking Glass Wars looked Star Wars-y at all, but maybe that was because I didn't see the Card Soldiers on the cover. I'm not very observant.

Don't worry, I knew that you were just commenting and that you'll read the third book no matter what. We all will.

When I saw LGW it had that cover on it, w/ the Card Soldiers, and I guess I didn't really notice at first how much they looked like Droids because I've never been much of a Star Wars fan, and so it was not the first thing to pop into my mind. What I first noticed was the little sub-title, "Fantasy Just Declared War on Reality", and that just pulled me in like a moth to the flames.

LOL I am a hopeless fantasy fan. :)

I guess we thought kind of the same thing then. I expected to be more toward the sci-fi genre. But the concept of Alice and Wonderland totally made me pick the book up. Plus, I knew it wouldn't hurt to read another book. I am in love with the series now too. =D

Although I never liked AIW (both the books and the Disney cartoon) I was quite enchanted with the idea that someone had redone it.

I'm glad that we know when it is actually coming out so that we have a time frame to look forward to. Fall '09 sounds good to me. Summer '09 would sound better... Spring '09 would sound the best... but hey, as long as it's this year, I'm happy.

Hi Everybody,

Sorry I've been out of touch, but I've been hard at work finishing Book 3. Below you'll find some of the titles I've kicked around for the third novel. I've made my decision; nevertheless, I wanted to hear what you guys think:

The Looking Glass Wars: Rise of the EverQueen
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen for All
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Reigns
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Rebellion
The Looking Glass Wars: EverQueen Unleashed
The Looking Glass Wars: Realm of the EverQueen

Thanks for your enthusiastic leap into the Pool of Tears!

All the best,
Frank Beddor

Seeing Redd, Chapter 22, Page 181:

The Walrus-Butler toddled in and out of the palace's briefing room with winglefruit juice, flugelberry wine, wondercrumpets, and every refreshment he could think of to show his joy at Alyss' safe return from the battle at Wondronia Grounds.

"Have you seen Homburg Molly yet?" she whispered as he set a plate of mostly toasted oaties on the table.

"Oh no, my Queen. Still no sign of her."

She stared, frowning, at the food. She should have gotten over her sulking by now. If she's trying to worry me by her absence...

"Don't you like mostly toasted oaties?" the Walrus asked with concern.

"I do." She crunched one between her teeth. "Please send for the ranking families, Walrus. We need to speak with them."

Yup and had lot's of fun, went to a shop and got a pair of shoes that were $150.00, but marked down to $10.00(wouldn't have gotten them otherwise). And went to another store and got a vest, lined with fake fur and tan suede on the outside, that was normally $75.00 for $35.00. This is my random thought for the day:D:rolleyes:

Yeah, books smell awesome. I simply do not understand how someone could not enjoy the scent of them. :) Old books have a distinct smell but I like that smell, too. Like, I have this book that was printed in... let me check the exact year... okay the copyright is 1929 and there's this handwritten inscription in the front that says "To Mary Jane for Christmas 1933". The book is called "Uncle Titus in the Country by Johanna Spyri author of Heidi". The cover is like really unique too, you know, like, it is just a printed picture that is like glued onto the old fabric that those ancient books are made of. LOL.

Oh this is the Walrus Butlers day off:rolleyes:

I love the old books that have handwritten phrases in them. They make the books so much more personable, y'know?

Oh, figures that old tub of lard would waddle out on you when you're sick.

we really loved the characters & the concept. it seems like the story got rushed at the end, but it's a great movie.

p.s. I thought you were leaving?

I have to say this. Sorry about off-topic.

I was overall very dissapointed with how the movie for Inkheart turned out. I read the book three times and I am very sad to say that the movie almost ruined it completely. At times it was almost corny and immature compared to how the book was written.

For people who have not read Inkheart, yes, I'd say it was a good movie and you should see it. For those like me and loved the book, I really don't think the movie will be good for you.

I'm afraid for The Looking Glass Wars. I sincerely hope that it doesn't end up like Inkheart did. If it does, I will cry.

My friends and I are still thinking about going to see it, though.

You know what, it is really really weird, but even though I have never read, seen, or heard of the book before the movie, I somehow had a feeling that the movie would be very different from the book. I don't know why I thought that, I just did. So that's why I decided that, if I was going to see the movie, I wouldn't read the book. At least, not until after the movie.

Thanks for letting me know that I was thinking right, Hattertant!

well, being obssessed with movies. I always judge the books and movies separately. I just never saw them being the same except for the title and the characters and stuff, but you know! Well, I hope you know. LoL!

hah i know. if it's been a while since i read the book then i judge them seperately b/c i don' remember exact events. but if i just read it and then watch the movie i pick out everything that went wrong. but i'm usually happy with movies from books (like hp and twilight) <- loved them both.

i'm not a big fan of books from movies. never really understood the point.

Hi AlyssS! You're new to the forums, aren't you?

Well, FB put up a later post saying that these titles were no longer in consideration. The new title is now "ArchEnemy".
