Redd Necklace

Here are the three design ideas I narrowed it down to.

This one would be made with seed beads and stiff wire to hold that bottom rose up.

I like all three designs (you've got skillz! Skillz with a 'z'!) but as a Redd necklack? Definitely design 3.

I think I see a pattern appearing! LOL And I have to agree. The third one just has more of a darkness about it. The others are almost TOO pretty to get away with the Redd theme.

I voted for design 1 because you asked which was my favorite and that one was it. But design 3 is DEFINITELY the most Reddish. It's my second favorite. But truthfully they are all SO COOL!

Here is the work in progress of the rose. It doesn't have it's teeth nor are the petals filled out yet. This is more or less, simply the bud of the rose.

LOL thanks hun. That there took me about an hour to an hour and a half. There are 406 seed beads already. The 2 black petal (mouths) in the middle have 57 beads each and the 4 red ones around them have 73 each.

I have at LEAST another 364 and up to 546 to go with the outer petals. I have to make AT LEAST 4, but probably more like 6 more red petals that are about 91 beads each. So...yeah that's fun. LOL

Then I still have to attach that to the choker ribbon and get the vine work done.

Yeah, that's my biggest problem right now. Most likely, I'm going to have to find like MoP shells and just break them to the sizes I want and shapes I need, then just drill holes through them myself.

I don't think she's doing any of the other designs. She spoke of doing an Alyss necklace awhile ago but she is currently involved in a coloring contest of massive porportions, so a lot of other stuff has to be put on hold... including the third painting of Homburg Molly. Bummer for us. :( Please don't ask how I know all of GD's business... being her "mini" I am authorized to know. LOL!!!!!!!!!! :) :D

Now I'm elbow deep in the design and construction of my best friend's wedding jewelry (HUGE, EPIC undertaking...) and also doing a 5 necklace commission for another person who wants them for family members to remember a loved one who's sadly passed.

I am ALSO in the middle of knitting a baby blanket for ANOTHER friend who's preggers AND CROCHETING a blanket for ANOTHER friend (full size). SO...needless to say, I'm swamped! LOL
