Well, you could always do what I do when I'm not sure whether an album is worth buying - listen to the songs on Youtube. That'll give you an idea of whether it's worth the money or not.
I haven't bought the soundtrack, but I did get 'Looking Glass' off iTunes. That was a really good song.

LOL... "Should I buy it"... I've been wondering the same thing. But, since I have dial-up internet, I can't load you tube videos. If anyone here bought it, please let me know if it's worth the 17 bucks or however much it is.

Oh, don't be so mean....I have the soundtrack here in front of me on my desk and I don't want it crying. At least say why you don't like it? -_-
I got it for Christmas, and I liked 9 out of the 13 songs on it. Pretty good, I'd say...normally when I get a CD I never like that many of the songs on it.
...But then again, you have to have just that sort of taste in music.

What would you say "that taste in music" is? Rock? Hard rock?

I'm considering it to be a mixture of rock, symphonic rock, almost techno, a little hip hoppy-ness, jazz, and classical.
Some songs are a combination of those, like a rock-jazz-classical fusion, or a hip hop-techno-symphonic rock fusion. Or classical techno with a hip hoppy beat... The Hypnogaja songs are where the rock is, while the songs by Silence are almost your hip hop classical.
All in all, a little bit of everything thrown together to make a fine soundtrack.

Ah, gotta love differences.
Incidentally, I have some songs I like more than others. It's kind of a mixed bag for me, but the songs I like, I really like. Some even wore on me over time, for that matter (that one being "Puddles", which I went from "eh" to "Hmm, I think I'll use this for the wedding photo DVD for my family...").

Wow. You really changed your opinion on that one, didn't you? LOL!

It was a situation of "well, if the shoe fits, I suppose I shouldn't change it". I threw it in as a test song, and it managed to sound good where I put it. So it stayed :)

That was a very smart move and nice words of wisdom my friend. And I agree with Molly that it was a very smart choice(because you made the decision)

Why is no body talking about how you can get it for $10 dollars on amazon? The sound track worth I bought it before I ever read the book. And even if you hate the music it still worth it. This is the first time a soundtrack been made for a book. So yah big collectors item. So I say what the heck get see if you like it.

So in a couple weeks I'm planning on ordering the soundtrack. The snippets were great I'll have to reread LGW while listening to it. :)

Let me know what you think. Like, two out of three opinions have been good thus far, so I'm thinking of ordering one myself.

Liking 9 out of 13 songs is pretty good. I've gotten CDs where I've liked only say one or two songs on it.

I actually like all the songs now, except "Courier Heart", I think. LOL. Don't know why, but I just don't like that one. It never grew on me like the others. My fave is still "Deadly" though. ^_^ along with "Thru the Looking Glass". :D:D
