My Cast:
Alyss Heart- Krysten Stewart
Dodge Anders- Channing Tatum
Hatter Madigon- Dax Shepard
Bibwit- Doug Jones
Redd- Kate Beckinsale
Queen Genevieve- Rachel Weisz
King Nolan- Hugh Jackman

I love the book and want the movie to come out but I honestly wouldn't even see the movie with him in it.

I'll post my choices once I figure them out.

I think Channing Tatum is a good actor, but people only use him as "eye candy" I think he could pull off the brooding, silent, and strong nature of Dodge quite well.

Seriously NO! Matt Damon too old, too bad, just not at all right, in my opinion. Not a huge fan of Rachel being Alyss either. Thanks for the reply though!

I'm sorry, but if they even DREAMED of casting Miley Cyrus in the LGW movie, I think I would

a) puke

and

b) boycott the movie, even though (or perhaps because) I adore the books.

Sorry to be so blunt, and I hope I haven't offended anyone, but this is a very strong opinion of mine.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miley Cyrus is a horrible horrible horrible person to play young Alyss. She doesnt look a thing like her and she couldnt act to say her life, plus her accent is horrible and she's ugly, young alyss while being an odd child, would look waaaaay better than Miley Cyrus. I'm sorry but i dont see this at all. i also agree with Alyss H, if they put any disney child in it, i really would puke, and boycott the movie. I'm not a big fan of disney as you can tell.

Matt Damon=pucktastic~!
But that is in my own opinion.

I still hold to Whats-his-name being hatter and I shall find that name in a moment.

Hatter: Jason Statham
Redd: Miranda Richardson
Generals DoppleGanger: Hugh Jackman... don't ask its who I saw the whole time.. but I think he'd make a good Father Alexander Anderson as well..(Another character from a Manga

As for everyone else.. I'd have to think longer.. O.o

Those of you who have read the other movie-related threads will probably be sick of hearing me say this, but I think the Clive Owen would make the PERFECT Hatter. Others seem to disagree, but I am sticking with my convictions. Personally, he is the only actor I can possibly see in the role.

Alyss: Rachael Henley
Dodge: ?
Hatter: Johnny Depp
Red: Helena Boham Carter
Young Alyss: Georgie Henley
Young Dodge: Freddie Highmore? (he might be to old)
Queen Genevive: Julie Andrews
Homburg Molly: Ellen Page? (might be to old)

Hatter: Johnny Depp

Queen Genevive: Julie Andrews

... What?.. O.o

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to yell at you or anything, but can I please have the thought process that brought these two up for Hatter and Genevieve?

AlyssH
06-23-2008, 01:21 PM
Yeah, I think you're right, through_the_looking_glass, while Ellen Page is a phenomenal actress and all, I think she's a tad too old (21!) to play Homburg Molly. Even though she played a 16-year-old in JUNO, 13 would be a stretch.

Loiterer
06-23-2008, 01:47 PM
Ellen Page for Alyss, then?

What about AnnaSophia Robb as Molly? She's about the right age.

And I still think Stephen Fry would be great as the Walrus Butler!

AlyssH
06-23-2008, 02:51 PM
Ellen Page might be a good Alyss. I really liked her in Juno.

I don't know about Annasophia Robb, though. Molly is very close to my heart, and they need just the right actress to play her. I'm not sure if Miss Robb has enough of that tough, fiery determination that we all love about Molly.

I know, I'm picky!

When i was reading the book i saw

Alyss-Keira Knightley
Young alyss-Anna Sophia Robb
Dodge- Hayden christensen
Young dodge- Freddie Highmore
Queen Genevuive- Rosamaund pike
Redd- Julia Roberts
Rook- Jamie bell

AlyssH

Yeah, Annasophia Robb would be much better as young Alyss than as Homburg Molly.

Here's my cast for The Looking Glass Wars

Older Dodge: I have two possiblities: Orlando Bloom/Hayden Christiansen. My money's on Hayden simply because an older Dodge could be made into an Anakin type character.
Genevive: Kate Beckinsalele- It's irony seeing as she played Alice in "Through the Looking Glass"

Sadly that's all I have, I'm actually researching my list, so to be continued!

This is what I think
Alyss: Kristen Stewart or Zoey Deschanel (too old???)
Dodge: Channing Tatum or Hayden Christensen or Milo Ventimiglia (too old???)
Bibwit: Doug Jones
Hatter: Hugh Jackman
Cat: ??? this one is hard because is he gonna be animated or actor???
Redd: Helena Bonham Carter
Homburg Molly: MEEEE!!! lol but really i'm auditioning so i'm hoping it's me!!! I don't know who should play molly who's famous.
*they don't have to pick famous people all the time. Keep that in mind!!!*

It said in the book that she isn't blond and that she has dark hair not sure if it's brunette or black (most likely brunette) and if you see all of his pictures she has brunette hair

General Doppleganger: Robin Williams

Okay, here's my two cents concerning your casting :D :

Rachel Weisz as Genevive: I've never seen Rachel Weisz in any movies before but just looking at her... ah... she struck me as looking more Alyss rather than Genevive.

Tilda Swinton as Redd: I don't think so. She would be great, but everyone would be thinking Wicked White Whitch from Narnia.

AnnaSophia Robb as Young Alyss: I'm more for AnnaSophia being Molly.

Evan Rachel Wood as Alyss: I don't see it, but then again, I have never seen her in any movies, so I cannot really say. But she just does not really look like an Alyss to me.

Bella Thorne as Homburg Molly: Ah, NO. Don't see it at all. Is it just me or does she strike me as way too "cute" looking to be Molly?

http://www.breda-en-alles-daaromheen.nl/hollywood_bestanden/image032.jpg

WAAAAAAAAY Too cutsie-looking to be the kick-butt Homburg Molly!

Anyways... moving on.... :D

Milo Ventimiglia as Dodge: Yeah, I can see it. He looks like a pretty good Dodge to me.

Laura Linney as Mrs. Liddel: Maybe... could be...

Tom Wilkinson as Lewis Carroll: I can't see that at all. He's not young enough.

Doug Jones as Bibwit Harte: Yeah, I can see that.

Robin Williams as General DoppleGanger: OH, PLEASE PLEASE NO, NOT ROBIN WILLIAMS! That guy bothers me, and besides, I just cannot see him as General DG!

Larry Joe Campbell as Jack of Diamonds: Yeah, I can see that one.

John Cleese as King Arch: Maybe a bit too old?

Matthew Broderick as King Nolan: I think he looks like a good King Nolan.

Eric Dane as the White Knight: I guess so he kinda looks like a Knight to me.

Eric Bana as Sir Justice Anders: Hmmmmm... I'm not so sure...

Geniveve: Rachel Weiz - Would be fine with me since she's an amazing actress and Genevieve needs great impact since she isn't on screen much.
Redd: Tilda Swinton - I agree with homburgmolly_fan and most everyone else when I say everyone would be thinking Wicked White Witch from Narnia. I'm much more for Miranda Richardson (or Helena if it must be) for the role.
Young Alyss: AnnaSophia Robb - Far too old now to play the young Alyss and I've decided (in my own head at least) that I want her as Molly (if they're picking an established actress for it anyways).
Alyss Heart: Evan Rachel Wood - Hmm...not really. I always pictured Alyss as having a bit stronger face, she seems TOO soft and babyish still. I'm not talking chiseled features, but not a nearly fully rounded face like this girl.
Homberg Molly: Bella Thorne - Again, totally agree with homburgmolly_fan...WAY WAY WAY too cute.
Dodge Anders: Milo Ventimiglia - He wouldn't be bad, but I've never seen him act so I'll with hold FULL endorsement till I do. Looks wise though...spot on.
Mrs. Liddell: Laura Linney - Oh love her, I think she'd be good for that role.
Lewis Carrol/Charles Dodgson: Tom Wilkinson - Too old now, but would have been good if he were younger.
Bibwit Harte: Doug Jones - Don't think any of us would dispute that choice. He was the first one I thought of when I read Bibwit's part. Just watch Hellboy and you'll see it!
General Doppleganger: Robin Williams - Please for the love of GOD no! He'd bring that same retardedly zany acting he brings to every role that wouldn't fit in here. Not saying I don't like the man...I do...in the right roles, but this isn't one of them.
Jack of Diamonds: Larry Joe Campbell - A BIT too old (by like 10-15 years), but if he were younger, yeah.
King Arch: John Cleese - Not at ALL. No disrespect to one of my all time favorites, but not for this role for several reasons. 1. He's FAR too old for the role. 2. He's a funny character actor not so much serious and calculating that Arch needs. I really wouldn't see him in this.
King Nolan: Matthew Broderick - Sure, why not? He dies anyways. LOL
White Knight: Eric Dane - I guess he looks alright for it, he'd be covered in armor and make up anyways.
Justice Anders: Eric Bana - I'd say that I'd like to see him as Arch before Sir Justice.

I'm very glad you agree with me. :D I don't want people to think that I'm going to bash any known actress suggestions that aren't AnnaSophia Robb; I'm just very... um... fanatic about everything concerning Homburg Molly (Big fat surprise there!) including who should play her. So I'm always gonna add my two cents whenever that question comes up.

Bella Thorne is NOT Molly. I think if I saw that girl in a Millinery coat with knives drawn, I would laugh. :o sad but true.

Alright, so before I go and post anything at all, let me put in my disclaimer that I am not a very good judge, and therefore probably why I won't go into casting at all. Some of these are completely spur of the moment ideas and therfore might not be the best of course.

But here's my two cents.
--------------------------------------

King Arch - Eric Bana was a good suggestion someone had, but how about Robert Downey Jr.? ((this was totally spur of the moment, so I undertsand if it's a bad suggestion))
Homburg Molly - I know a lot of people have been saying Anna Sophia Robb, but I do not see her as Molly personally. The 'toughest' actress around her age I've seen would be Dakota Blue Richards (from The Golden Compass). She did a fabulous job as Lyra, and I can see her taking on the part of Molly.
Hatter M - I never really considered anyone for Hatter before, but another spur of the moment idea I had was Nicholas Cage. I don't know why, it just felt right.
Dodge Anders - Ben Barnes?
General DoppleGanger - Sean Connery

--------------------

That's all I've got so far, but I havn't really given any of the other characters any consideration at all.

I think the only one on here that really made me cringe was Nicholas Cage as Hatter. I think I'd shoot myself in the foot if I heard he got that role. LOL But Robert Downey Jr wouldn't be TERRIBLE as Arch...not sure he'd be able to do it with all the Avengers/Iron Man commitments he has right now though.

Yeah, I understand. Like I said, those two were absolutly spur of the moment (and very likely influenced by the fact I had just watched National Treasue and Iron Man). I'm sure there are much better candidates. I thought of the whole Marvel bit as well, after I posted this of course.

It seems that Hatter will be very difficult to cast, based on what I've been seeing of this thread.

He really will, everyone has so many expectations of what Hatter is (a lot of them differing at times) and it's going to be REALLY hard for Beddor and team to find someone to please not only THEM, but US as well. I wish them ALL the luck in the world!!

I've seen that movie several times... saw it in theaters actually, and you know what...

I can't believe that Emmy Rossum never crossed my mind before this! I mean, I'm not so sure that's she's my top favorite for Alyss, not the way my top fav. for Molly is AnnaSophia Robb (at least from the famous gals) but she wouldn't be half bad. I think she could pull off Alyss quite easily. She has a certain grace and mysteriousness about her... at least in her role as Christine in the Phantom of the Opera.

Wow, you're totally right! I'm not sure if she would be quite as strong and spunky as the Alyss that we all know and love, but she would probably do a decent job. I also can't believe that I didn't think of her before this--I LOVE Phantom of the Opera, know practically all the songs by heart, and own the movie.

I could see Viggo as the Hatter.. Hugh Laurie, not so much. After Blackadder and that proggramme he did with Stephen Fry, and despite House, I don't think I could take him seriously...

I could see definitely Viggo as hatter, he's one of my favorite actors! And I could see Robert Downey jr as King Arch... In iron Man he looks almost exactly how I would picture Arch!

In a way I can see Viggo as Hatter in the way that he plays a very good fighter who's slightly mysterious and quiet. You're always wondering what the heck he's thinking, which is very Hatter-ish. But personaly I think that Clive Owen has more of a Hatter "look" to him. Don't ask. :o

I also saw Iron Man w/ Robert Downey Jr. and I think he would be a very good King Arch! Because he just seemed to have that sort of attitude about him. Again, please don't ask. I don't always make a lot of sense.

It makes total sense. I agree, Viggo is good, but I think he might be a bit MUCH in the role of Hatter. Clive has a better balance of kick ass, but doesn't look TOO frightening. Viggo just scares the hell outta me and that's not how I see Hatter.

And RD Jr as Arch is perfect. He was actually KINDA the guy I wrote my description off of. Just put a little salt dashes in his hair at the temples for the role and he'd be 100% perfect.

Off the top of my head.

Alyss-Kristen Stewart
Dodge-???
Hatter Madigan-Clive Owen
Bibwit-Doug Jones with voice of David Hyde Pierce or Martin Short
Redd-Miranda Richardson
Queen Genevieve-Rachel Weisz
King Nolan-???
Cat-Gary Oldman? Difficult one
Rook-???
Doppelganger-Sean Bean
King Arch-???

That's without really thinking about it much.

Not SURE if I agree on Alyss, but I haven't seen her in enough things to form an opinion beyond what she looks like.

Dodge...I know, I still have no really GOOD idea of who could pull that off. If people start saying Robert Pattinson (or whatever his name is) now after Twilight, I'm going to gag. LOL

I think I've made it clear that I'm all for Clive here. LOL

Doug Jones actually has a decent little voice of his own if people would let him use it. LOL But I definitely want him to do Bibwit, he's got a way of holding himself that's just...perfect.

I love, love, love Miranda, but I think she's a bit too old now.

Adore Rachel.

I dunno about Nolan either. LOL

Cat will be hard...not sure who can really pull that one off. He'll probably end up being mostly CGI though, (a la Davy Jones in PotC) so he doesn't necessarily have to LOOK like him. He just has to have the perfect voice.

Rook...not sure either. I should think of that one though because he really DOES have a hell of a role.

Sean Bean wouldn't be bad at ALL as Doppelganger!

Arch...I'm throwing my chips in for Robert Downey Jr. LOL

Here's my thoughts in regards to a perfect cast, or as many as I can remember off the top of my head:

Alyss: dunno yet
Dodge: Me, yes I know. I have a bit of an ego.
Redd and Genevieve: Sigourney Weaver playing both Heart sisters. Redd'll probably need a bit of mild prosthetics to change her slightly.
Hatter Madigan: Paddy Considine. Trust me.
Bibwit: Johnathan Pryce
The Cat: Doug Jones
Jack: James Corden
Gen. Doppel/Ganger: dunno yet
Molly: Georgia Groome. Or one of the many Molly-fans on here.

Well, I dunno about a lot of the names on there... what I mean by that is I can't pass judgement on them because I have neither seen nor heard of them before. But, given my status as "HomburgMolly_Fan" (:)) I went and google image searched the Madigans.

Hatter...

http://www.sarahdunn.com/images/paddy_considine.jpg

Possibly, with a good wardrobe, he might look Hatterish enough.

But I'm not so sure about Georgia as Molly. (And all you people KNEW that this was coming! LOL!)

http://www.lahiguera.net/cinemania/actores/georgia_groome/fotos/6979/georgia_groome.jpg

I mean, I could see her as Molly more than a lot of other actresses that have been suggested, but... IDK. I mean, I could see her looking Molly-ish, but at the same time I can't. I don't know. It's a difficult thing to describe, so just bear with me here. LOL LOL!

Although, I like your second suggestion better: "One of the Molly fans" here at the forum. You're not the only one with a big ego; guess who I have in mind for the part of Molly. LOL!

Oh, Missy Molly!! I love your cast its great! btw very nice pictures!! I agree with you about Gorgia as Molly. She would be perfect for the roll. Now the person im not sure about is the guy; althought he does look like with a very decent wardrobe he could be Hatter. but he would need some major hat skills first. The guy is Paddy Considine, up-coming brit thesp, who is slowly becoming a big thing. So far he's been in a few decents films over here, a few made by Shane Meadows, which are more suited for adults. But Dead Man's Shoes are a good example of what Paddy could do as the Hatter. He was also in Hot Fuzz as one of the Andys!

Georgia Groome has only done a bit of stuff, a film called London to Brighton and another one, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

Here's some of the others I mentioned.

James Corden (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0179479/)

And do I really need to put up pictures of Doug Jones and Sigourney Weaver?

Princess, I... didn't say Georgia would be perfect for the role of Molly. I said I wasn't so sure about it. I have never seen ehr acting before, and while I could see her as Molly looks-wise with a little bit of imagination, my personal choice for the role (out of famous actresses, that is) is AnnaSophia Robb. And no, I don't think the dude who ends up playing Hatter will need to learn the Hat skills. That's pretty much impossible, especially because we don't have such a weapon.

Not sure, but I'm not sure I like the look of the girl for Molly....

The only one I agree with is Rachel Weisz being Queen Gevevieve. I haven't decided the others, but I can totally see Famke Janssen (also known as Jean Gray from X-men) as Redd. Oh, and I can totally see me as Homburg Molly. I know that's sounds pretty egotistic, but I mean it. I want to be a Millener soooooo bad. And I think we kinda even look alike. Okay,

1. Kristen Stewart now carries a bit too much "Twilight-ness" for me to see her as Alyss. All I can think of is Bella, and the two are very different characters.

2. Don't think you sound egotistical saying that you should be Molly. I think the same thing. About myself, of course. :D

3. Jonathan Pryce would probably make a good Bibwit, but he's definitely way too old to be Hatter.

4. Clive Owen is still--and will always be--the perfect person to play Hatter Madigan.

It's okay...I love her too. I'd be fully behind her if it was like back in the 'Merlin' years. She might be a little too old looking to do it now, but who knows. She'd pull of the 'ttude best though...that's for sure!

This is who I think should play in the LGW movie so far.

Alyss (older version): Ashley Greene (For those of you who have seen her in Twilight, make sure you see her with long hair. It works to me)
Dodge (older version): Jackson Rathbone or Milo Ventigmilia [from Heroes]. (I couldn't deside which one).
Hatter Madigan: Hugh Jackman
Redd: Rachelle LeFevre (Picture her in a flesh-eating rose dress and you have Redd!)

That's all I have right now. I'll add more as I think of them. :)

i know i'm very late to this thread. but still... i had ideas. hope you can agree with a few. i added more than one to a few. this is all i got though.

Alyss- Camilla Belle Routh, idk so much if her acting skills can capture alyss, but I think she's pretty. For the love of all that's holy, NOT kristen or robert in this!! They have their "signature" characters already.
Dodge- Hayden Christensen/Chris Evans/ James McAvoy (he's never done something this tough though)
Redd- Helena/ evil michelle pfieffer lol
King Arch-Robert Downey Jr.( with Helena I think they would have some chemistry together)
Genevieve- Michelle Pfeiffer (picture her as a brunette) or Kate Beckinsale

All I have to say is if they have ANYONE from the Twilight cast in TLGW, I'm not seeing it.
I personally find Twilight absolutely disgusting and thought the movie was astonishingly terrible, especially compaired to the book which still wasn't that great. The acting was bad and the script was poorly written. The end. Not to mention Kristen Stewart is a total pot-head.
No, TLGW is going to be epic, and I have great faith in Frank and whoever else to pick the best, most fresh cast there is.

Well... there are some on here who would agree with you and some who would beat you over the head. Just to warn you. ;)

Me, I wouldn't want anyone from Twilight to be in the LGW movie for this reason: it's a big fad right now, and the last thing we want is to have people seeing the (yes you are right LL) TOTALLY EPIC LGW movie and be thinking, "Hey, that is so and so from Twilight!" and then be thinking Twilight the whole time. That would be terrible. LGW is very different from Twilight. I just hope all the movie goers who haven't read the books will see that. :o

Unfortunately, Clive Owen is one of those guys that I haven't had the opportunity to see act... I am just liking the way he looks for Hatter and I am taking AlyssH's word that he is an amazing actor and also good for the role. AnnaSophia and Emmy I have seen several of their movies and yes, while I think they look the part, I feel their acting skills are what really makes them good for the roles.

Oh, and I know that a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but hey, I'm a Batman fan to the core. so, what do you expect? LOL!

Possibility: Christian Bale as Dodge?

http://www.thecinemasource.com/moviesdb/images/Christian_Bale%20-%202%20-%20Batman_Begins.jpg

I think his ability to appear scruffy and then clean cut and still manage to look good eaither way is a definite plus for Dodge. Plus, he can pull off an obsessive, fearsome character but then he can turn right around and be very romantic. Anyone who has seen Batman Begins/The Dark Knight knows that I speak the truth. :D

If you want to see Clive in action, some films I recommend are:

- Children of Men
- Inside Man
- King Arthur
- Duplicity (just out in theatres this weekend!)
- Elizabeth: The Golden Age

He's got a new action movie out called The International all about a huge corrupt bank, but I haven't had a chance to see that one yet.

You can also watch trailers and stuff for his films online if you want to get a small sample of what his acting's like.

I've blabbed all about her in the "Who Should Play Homburg Molly" thread. I posted up an interview with her over there. She is hands down my choice for Molly if they do decide to use a famous. HANDS. DOWN. I think she is the only one who could do justice to the role.

Oh... Bridge to Terabithia.... we bought that DVD, watched it once, and never turned it on again. The night we watched it, we turned it off at 10 PM but I actually didn't stop crying until 12. It's SOOOOOOO doggone sad!!!!! :(

I wish that Dakota Fanning was still like the age that she was when she did Dreamer. Then she would be a PERFECT young Alyss!

Oh also my pick for Hatter... Edward Norton... I think he'd be awesome have you ever seen the Illusionist?
He does a great job of having his character developed and actually bring something to the film even when his character is somewhat desensitized... But he makes the character seem real and passionate without the outward display of passion that say, Molly would have... he's very good at portraying someone who is introversive.

I am not good at finding child actors, so the really good few stick out in my head... whereas the rest get put in the trash bin... I have no clue for any of the younger aged characters
I'm still "iffy" on my own pick for Dodge... I mean He's supposed to be rugged in appearance and a intense warrior... however still have a youth about him... it's hard to find someone like that...

Hey, this just popped into my mind. If this dude were to have more weight (perhaps there'd be some way for computer graphics to help with that? LOL IDK) Could you see Andy Serkis as a possible Jack? We know he can be a slightly creepy, selfish bad guy and that he can pull off an unforgettable character.

What's her age?

Uh, somewhere in her thirties or early fourties, I think. I can see her playing the character but my biggest concern would be that she would have to have good chemistry with who ever plays Hatter. Solution, take the person to play Hatter and potential Weaver, and put them on a bed together. Hey, that's how they found Robert Pattinson to play Edward, true story. They had Kristen Stewart and the Edward potential get on bed together (they didn't do anything weird) and her and Rob had the best chemistry. And in my opinon Rob Pattinson OWNED that role! I want someone to play Dodge that well! :D

EEiiiiiiwww. That's just gross, whether weird stuff was done or not. If I were that actress, I would have said I quit and left the studio.

Seriously though, how much "chemistry" do Hatter and Weaver need? The most romantic they actually get in the books is when he kisses her. That's it. If you get too much chemistry, you just might blow something up, y'know. LOL.

I think I'd be more thinking about how much of a "concerned mother" she can play. I think that, in LGW and SR, that is Weaver's main role. The role of "Hatter's Lover" is still there, but it is not as dominant. You notice that like every time they are together they are talking about Molly.

That is a good point. When I say they need good chemistry, I mean... well, he got her pregnant, they obviously had something serious going on, so there needs to be this kind of feel that that romance is still there, but it's being pushed to the side by what's going on. I totally get the concerned parent thing though. I think Evangiline Lilly could play that. In Lost she ends up taking care of a baby that she says is hers but it's actually Claire's baby. Claire told her to do that when she got off the island... You know what... Nevermind.

Okay yeah, I don't watch Lost so... I'm kinda lost. No pun intended. LOL

Yeah, I see your point. I never pictured Hatter and Weaver's relationship to be anything like, "Hey, you know what? Let's just hook up for a night for the heck of it!" "Oh yes, good idea. I'll build you a little cave and we can have fun up there."

 NO.

I always thought that their love was very deep and very true. I just think that the word "chemistry" would be better to use in describing them like before LGW takes place. I think by the time Hatter knows that Weaver is still alive and that he has a daughter, they are worried about more important things. Their love is still there, but it has matured, if you will.

LOL. I can imagine Molly being like "Please tell me I'm not here for that reason?!?" Luckily they'd be telling the truth when they say, that, no she's not ther for that reason. :p :D BTW You forgot to say "Forbidden fun". LOL

But I like what you said with their relationship maturing. I agree. I have to say that one of the reasons I liked Hatter and Weaver's relationship is because no matter how screwed up things could get, they, for the most part, could find at least a few minutes to be with each other.

Oh but I thought forbidden fun was only for Arch and Redd? LOL

Yeah, I always figured that their love had matured. It's like, when people are dating; engaged; first married they're in like that "puppy love" sort of stage. I think Hatter and Weaver were kinda in that sort of thing. Although Hatter was probably the calmest person in "puppy love" ever. HA!

But now that they have a child it's like... you know it's not just about us two anymore. We have someone here that WE brought into the world so WE are responsible for her and she's gonna look to US for guidance and love and protection.

I think, if anyhting, that would make the two of them grow closer in their love.

I was thinking about that though. One reason I think Hatter had a hard time telling Alyss and the others that Molly was his daughter was because in some ways, he was still getting used to it. Just a thought.

That's deep. :D
I was thinking about that though. One reason I think Hatter had a hard time telling Alyss and the others that Molly was his daughter was because in some ways, he was still getting used to it. Just a thought.

That time when Alyss asked him what Arch had meant and he seemed "too affected" to answer was kinda, yeah, in a way that he was still getting used to it. I think when he tried to actually form the words it all came flooding back to him, you know... "Homburg Molly is my daughter." And he became so sad that she was captured and worried for her safety and also wanting to see her, Weaver's daughter, again, that for a minute he was just too overwhelmed to speak.

Have you ever had that sort of thing? I know I have. You can plan and plan and plan on how to say something that's, say, very sad, and you've gotten yourself to a point where you're not crying over this sad thing and you've planned what you're going to say but then the very minute you open your mouth to say it everything just comes rushing back and you start crying or else can't say it.

While Hatter's "announcement" wasn't sad, think of what the poor dude had been through. (Awwww, poor Hatter.) Those last few... days... weeks... months... however long he was at the Point- were very emontionally draining for him. (Ha ha, it sounds so weird using the name "Hatter" and the phrase "emontionaly draining" in the same sentance.) He had probably thought about how he was going to tell Alyss and the others, and had tried to prepare for that moment, but when it actually came everything he had gone through (along with the new knowledge that his only child was now captured and a prisoner) just came like flooding back and for a moment it was too much for even Hatter.

Okay wow. That was like mega long. Sorry, guys! :o But yeah, that is why I have always loved that particular part in SR because in my mind there was always so much more behind it than just Hatter opening and shutting his trap and trying to think of what to say.

Sorry, I'm gonna counter what everybody's saying and say that Dakota Fanning is SO capable of playing Homburg Molly as much as AnnaSophia. Just saying. You should watch Push. Dakota rocked my socks. :D

As for Weaver, here's our input:

SIENNA GUILLORY!!!

I've only seen her in Inkheart and The Time Machine. But I don't know, she is one of the few actresses that I really really love even though she never takes on a huge role. She just has this charisma about her. Don't count on her pictures, just watch her movies. You'll see what we mean. ;) She could SO pull off Weaver. :)

Other than her hair color, I agree with theTWiNZ on the Dakota Fanning. She could play a B.A. Homburg Molly. I haven't seen Push yet, but that form of Dakota could so work. And it's said she might play Jane in the New Moon movie*.

*Jane is a Twilight vampire that can torture people with her mind. I personally hate her because she tortured Edward, but I will grudeingly say that she's B.A.

Hey, had to add this. Saw the movie "Australia" for the first time last night. It's the first real movie I've seen with Hugh Jackman in it. I have to agree that he could play the role of Hatter very nicely. But I still think that Clive Owen looks more like Hatter to me. LOL

OMG!!! I love Australia!!!...I just had to state that :D

And, if you ask me, Hugh Jackman is Hatter. he is soooooo awsome! I already posted this picture, but I will do so again 'cause it just screms Hatter...

I'M BAAAAAAACKKKK! :D

Hey guys I'm back from San Fransisco and I now have a stuffed dog named Dodge. I'll post a pic later. :D

You were in range of Mount Isolation and I had no idea?

Well, poo. :(

PS: At least you didn't call it Frisco XD

Lol @ the dog named Dodge.. you dunno how much that makes me happy.. Heh heh..

And I agree with the Hugh Jackman as Hatter choice. -nods- (Though I still wanna see Austrailia. Stupid Fiance took me to another movie instead of that one when it was out.. >.> ) But anyway, just thought I'd throw something in there.

No! Please! TEGA has poisoned your mind! *Hides beneath purple couch*

It's not just because he was in HSM (which I don't like) and because he is the current heartthrob of like every little girl out there, but every time I see Zac Efron, he strikes me really as a sort of "pretty boy". And I always saw Dodge as anything but a "pretty boy". Dodge is handsome, but it's more the rugged sort of type. My own person feeling is that if Zac Efron were to grow longer hair and maybe some stubble and try to look all rugged and manly, I would probably burst out laughing.

But then again maybe that's just me. :o

I agree with HM_F, he's not ruggedly handsome, he's more, as she said, pretty boy handsome. Which wouldn't fit. Though Molly when you were saying that every little girl has the hots for him thats the Jonas Brothers (I hate them). And Alyss Anders, Zac has definatly been working out. You should see him with out a shirt nowadays. *looks off and daydreams* Oooo! :D

Eeeeiwww. Gross. I guess Efron if ruined for me because all the little girls I know and some of the bigger ones all go, "Troy! He's so cute!" and sport "I <3 Troy" shirts and talk about how cute he is. They all do have the hots for him. I actually only know one girl who's big on the joe bros... and she's like 16. LOL

I'm gonna have to say that Zac Efferon (as long as he's not in HSM) he's is waaaaaay better than the Joe Bros. Has anyone seen him in Hairspray? He was great and I really want to see 17 Again. So basically I'll emphisize this one more time... As long as Zac Efferon is not in HSM he is hot to me. :D

Zac Efron looks better than the joe bros, I'll agree with that, but... he's just not my type. He has too much of a "little kid" face. Let's face it, he looks really young.

And the joe bros... I never got why they were a fad. EVER. Joe Jonas is, in my opinion...

...ugly.

No wonder Taylor got over their breakup so well. She can do SOOOOOOO much better than that jerk.<--to the joe bros.

That boy annoys me....

Also, just thought. Tim Roth as the Cat. Or at least maybe his voice and facial features... If anyone here's seen The Incredible Hulk, you'll know what I mean. He was Abomination in it...

Abomonation? You mean like the "other" hulk... the one that was like a weird tan sort of color? (Sorry we only saw that movie once on pay per view and since I am not a Marvel comics reader I am not so good with the characters' names.) :o

If you don't know him go google his name.. he's yummy..
