View Full Version : Technical Help Admin/Moderator...

I noticed that this site only has 1 admin 'LGW' and no moderators.

The porn spam that's being posted lately is going to completely destroy the future of the forums. I'm not sure if the admin account gets used at all... or if anyone here has any way of bringing this matter to someone's attention... but it is definately something that should be addressed.

If anyone needs any help, I have a ton of experience with vbulletin and can help out with any info you need.

I believe there's an email you can send your questions/comments to, if I'm not mistaken. I have experience moderating/running forums, but little to no experience actually doing the web work for it.

hey i have not noticed any spam/porn threads but i would certainly like to know the names of 'em as i would like 2 avoid that sort of thing.

When I took over the admin of the boards, I purged all the spam threads, deleted all the users who put it up, and put in the manual new user approval system to filter out the good new users from the bad. Occasionally, a well-crafted spammer slips through, but the problem has been 99.9% eliminated.

Oh, cool. guess thats why i have not read any porn/spam on this site. Seems its running pretty well with u around. Thanks. :)
