And now, Jay's first LGW drawing. It's not my usual cartoony style, obviously. I drew it right after I read LGW. Behold, the awesomest villain ever: Redd Heart!

I drew it accurately to the first book. It never said her dress was made out of roses, so there! She just changed when she reappeared on Earth. :p We do not imagine her at all with black teeth. Hearts are beautiful. So I had to make her pretty & scary at the same time...."pretty scary." Yup.

I liked the warrior queen concept that Frank writes about, so I had to give her some kind of armor that resembles a rose. So she's like a flesh eating rose herself. ;) Oh, and yes, that is Genevieve's crown that Jem recommends I should color blood-stained. *evil face*

And you are right..it's never specifically said that her dress was made of roses. For the most part, it seemed to me the roses truly manifested when she wanted to intimidate those around her. But there are pieces of art where there is not so much of a petal on her clothes.

Incidentally, one of the "cosplay props" I had in mind was one of two things.

A: The bloodstained Genevieve crown.

B: For a more drastic effect and older audience... Genevieve's severed head.

this is the first time I've actually digitally painted realistically so don't judge my methods...I am but a first-timer.
