So one thing I was thinking about was that some of my favorite bands and songs were found through song recommendations, from authors, my friends and forums. So here's a thread, that whether relevant or not to LGW, you can recommend your favorite songs to the people here on the forums. :D

It really depends on what you listen to.

For slower, more relaxing music but with an amazing voice, Josh Groban. He is sooooooo amazing.

For girl-power music that makes you feel good/want to get up and dance, anything by Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift. :)

What I always hated about them is how everyone is like "THEY ARE THE DEFINITION OF CUTENESS!" and it's gotten to the point where every girl is supposed to think that they are drop dead cute, and if you don't then you're weird. Personally I don't think they're bad looking but they're nothing special, sorry to break it to all the crazy fan girls out there. But yeah, like, you look at their CDs and stuff and they've got this little logo made up for the covers and they look like they are taking themselves so seriously but I have yet to hear a really good song from them.

Ha ha, yes, I have CDs from all of them. :D Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood in particular are favorites over at my household. My sister and I like Carrie Underwood for her music. My brothers like her for her face. :rolleyes:

Our parents love oldies so we listen to that. And there are some particular friends that love rock, R&B, hip hop, rap you know all that pop culture music so we listen to that. And then there's a few of our friends that love that weird kind of music that I don't know the genre of like Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Regina Spektor, Plumb, Jem? Yeah. We love that genre too. And we in particular love soundtracks and scores because we were in band and we love movies. So there. LoL!

And oldies might be... well... old, but they are mostly just such feel good songs. Even the breakup songs. :rolleyes: They're those kind of songs that you just want to blare out on the radio because they make you feel good. Make you feel like dancing. I appreciate songs like that.

I listen to A LOT of music. And one thing I never care about is how old a song/band is. There is new stuff that sucks *cough Katy Perry cough*(*) and old stuff that's good. Then there's old stuff that sucks and new stuff that's good. I basically love everything (rock, punk, alternative, jazz, R&B etc.) except rap, and there's only some country I like (Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, stuff like them). Then I stumbled upon the clip where her character is lying dead on the pavement because she was stabbed. :eek:

I am no longer satisfied. :(

OMG! You're my new sister Q.A.A! I can't stand her :mad:! Her song "I kissed a girl" ticks me off because, as you said, the tune is too catchy. Then I start singing it then I'm like "Dang it, shut up!". There's this one song by this one band that I don't know and the guys says "I kissed a boy just to start sh**" lol. And I don't really think Katy Perry can sing. She's only slightly better than the Jonas Brothers (a.k.a The Jon*ass* brothers or the Joe Bros).
