Okay, I'm new here, but I sort of wanted to share some of my (badly colored and very rough) LGW fanart of Molly and Redd.

Woah crazy afro much? ^^;; I just always pictured with really messy hair, and it came out more brown and orange in Painter.

I'm not too happy with the coloring on either, her hair needs to be a bit blonder, and the second one is waaaay too bright. (overly critical of myself? me? what? nooooooo.)

Here's my crit (don't worry it's nothing big. LOL!)

Redd's hair should be a bit longer, and Molly's should be shorter. But OMGosh, you drew her with dark blonde hair and green eyes, too! HA! I guess that's how EVERYONE on here sees her! I really like the first one. Really, really like it. Therefore, I am going to do you the great honor of putting it up in my LGW shrine! (my bookshelf that's covered with LGW art)

I don't do that for many fan arts, only the ones that really capture my imagination and attention. So be happy!!!!!! :D :D

Is Molly blonde? I love the drawings, but is she? I always saw her as a brunette. IDK, just me I guess. Like I said. Love the drawings though. BTW, I'm TeamEdwardGirltheAlyssian, a.k.a TEGA, welcome to the forums! Here's your ROCKET LAUNCHER that shoots exploding rocks at the people here on the forums. Have fun with it. Is Molly blonde?

We don't know. It never said in the book what color her hair is. But I always pictured her as a darker blonde, or like a strawberry blonde, with green eyes. When GD did her Molly fan art, behold! Molly was blonde with green eyes. When the TWiNZ did their Molly fan art, behold again! Strawberry blonde with green eyes.

Now Halfer posts her Molly fan art. Need I say behold again? Dark blonde hair with green eyes.

It's kind of Molly's officialy unofficial look. LOL :D

Oh. I always saw her with dark brown hair and blue eyes (because of that picture from Seeing Redd PB). Her hair was cropped shorter, just going a little past her chin to me. Weaver had lighter brown hair to me and blue eyes. Then Hatter had black hair and brown eyes to me. I like how we all see Molly differently. It's cool.

Now I just thought of something. We all know how Molly is Hatter's daughter and there was a point where he noticed she had eyes like Weaver's, which makes me think that she probably looks quite a bit like Weaver, how did Hatter not figure out that she was Weaver's daughter sooner? Sorry if I'm not making sense. But if Molly looks a lot like Weaver wouldn't Hatter have been curious as to why she looks a lot like her?

I pictured her with the same bob-hairstyle as the TWiNZ drew her with, but I always picture her as having dark reddish-brown hair and brown eyes.

They go to the puzzle shop; there's a fight outside the puzzle shop. They go to Mount Isolation; there's the big fight which is the climax. After this, Hatter leaves.

It's not like they were just sitting around. I honestly don't think he had time to notice. I imagine that, after the fight at Mount Isolation, he may have seen Molly and thought "Gosh, she looks familiar". But because he's been so busy and also so pre-occupied with knowing that Weaver is dead, the poor guy was probably just too spent to put two and two together. I think now that he knows, he'll be able to see Weaver in pretty much everything Molly does.

Yeah. And it could be that he did see that she looked like Weaver but he probably thought that it was just a mind trick or something like that. Like when you lose someone you love, you see things that remind you of them everywhere, and people seem to have traits like the decesed loved one. So he probably just thought that Molly looking a lot like Weaver was just another reminder that Weaver was dead. But we all know better :rolleyes:.

I disagree there, he has to be very observant to do his job well. He'd sort of have to memorize faces, so if anyone does anything bad, he knows who to go to. Plus there's the whole puddles thing on Earth... but anyway. :)

Okay, here's my thoughts on Hatter's "observantness". LOL.

I think Hatter is, as you pointed out, TEGA, very observant about people for his job. Kinda like a Sherlock Holmes sort of thing. Sorry, I know that is a terrible comparison because Hatter is so much cooler than Holmes. So, if no one (Loiterer!) will get ticked at me, I'll compare Hatter to Batman. I know Batman has this "ability" and I see Hatter as having it, too: You look at a person and basically notice and remember all the details about them. That info can be helpful later on in solving a case. With that in mind, I think he'd really be able to recognize people, even after, say, 13 years on Earth. After all, when he came back up from the Pool of Tears, he told Dodge "I remember you." And Dodge was only a little kid when Hatter left.

But for some reason I don't see Hatter as a thinker when it comes to looking at people's faces. I know you're probably thinking, "What is she talking about? Hatter is probably the most intellegent guy around, he's always thinking." So let me explain:

Some people look at someone, think "They look familiar!" and they have to be thinking about it thinking about it thinking about it until they've remembered who that person looks like. I know because I do that like 24/7. I'll put everything aside and just try and remember how this person looks familiar.

Pardon my "language", but Hatter is much too busy for that sort of crap. Let's face it. He's the leader of the Millinery. He's the Royal Bodyguard for the Queen. He's got to worry about fighting all the glass eyes/card soldiers that work for Redd. And, as of the end of LGW, he's preoccupied with the thought that he needs to go and mourn Weaver privately.

The dude does not have time to just be thinking about random stuff such as who looks like who. As I think I said somewhere before, I imagine he would see Molly, think "She looks familiar!" just like anyone else would if they were in his spot, but then instead of pondering over it he puts it out of his mind.

I imagined Molly with strawberry blonde hair and brown eyes. Weaver with dark/dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. Hatter with dark brown hair and brown eyes. I always thought that brown eyes made people look more humble and reserved.

Really? Now, see, I always thought Molly would look more like Weaver. But I pictured her having some traits from Hatter in her too, obviously. I think she is a little more like Weaver in the way that Weaver seems to have a sharp temper and she's stubborn, and Molly has those kind of traits, too.

I guess I like to picture Molly looking like Weaver because I picture her looking so different from Hatter.

I don't think she's nothing like Weaver. She's her daughter, so she has some Weaver in her. On her picture/profile thingy on the card soldier wars game, it says that she's discovering more about her alchemistic talents. It makes sense that Molly's got some alchemy talent from Weaver. Also that one scene in Seeing Redd when Hatter is trying to tell Weaver that Arch is bad, and she gets mad. The way she got mad "The folded arms, the head tilted slightly foward while she eyed him from beneath the overhang of her brow: she was getting mad." For some reason this reminded me of how Molly gets mad. So basically, Molly has some of both Hatter and Weaver in her.
